I have wanted to drive out to Fred Haigh Dam for so very long! Its been on my Bucket List for so very long, but things happen and we haven’t been able to drive out there – and believe it or not we had to go through Gin Gin Queensland to get there – and found two caches at the Rest Stop.
We are super excited because we have found our first “Trackable” and our first “Travel Bug” – Kyle and Cameron had no idea what either one meant, and to be honest neither did I, so I had to do a fast google search.
We have contacted the owner of the “Trackable” and he has agreed that we are allowed to keep it with us for the time being, and will be taking it on a special trip soon! Lets see how far it can travel – it came from Sweden so far! And has been in Queensland – lets see where it ends up.
The “Travel Bug” – we are still waiting to hear from its owner to how long we get to keep it!
Here are some {lots} of our Pics from the drive out to the dam, it was a dam good day with lots of dam great pics 🙂
Get the joke! “Watched” and there is a clock in the picture, yeah I am worst then “Dad’s Jokes” 🙂
We have sent a message to the owner, and he has let us take this “Trackable” on our travels all over Bundaberg and Brisbane, and to see how far we can get this Trackable to travel – it has came from Sweden so far! And today it went out to the Fred Haigh Dam – out at Lake Monduran. We will be taking lots of pics over at our Instagram page, facebook page and twitter page as we take this trackable out and about with us!
We have contacted the owner of “The Travel Bug” and asked if we can take it on our adventures. We are waiting to hear how long we can keep the travel bug, and how far it can travel with us! Super excited to think that we could be taking a Trackable and “The Travel Bug” with us on our soon to be adventures!
In memory of
Manny Hadjey Mike Connors Graeme Stielow
We have lost three very special people.
All of us who knew them were touched by their passion for life and for flying.
They leave behind many unfisished things both personal and corporate we will carry on to fulfill those of which we are able but the rest will remain as wishes and memories we will continue to wish and remember.
And they will conitue with us. Long May they Fly.
We were so surprised that there wasn’t more boats out in the water? Considering it was Easter Weekend, we so thought that there would be more people out and about!
So another Bucket List place is now crossed off my list – I have wanted to see Fred Haigh Dam for so very long, and now we have! And it was perfect place for a rest on a picnic blanket while watching Kyle fish – and Cameron could read his book!
Have You Been To Fred Haigh Dam?
Have you stayed at Lake Monduran for camping?
Cheers
Lisa

We love camping but have not been there yet! Looks like a great spot
We’ve been to this dam. The dam surrounds were very dry when we visited. It would be good to have a boat to explore it from. Kyle has really grown up.

I enjoyed your post. I didn’t know about the “Trackable” or the “Travelbug” either. Looks like the kids had a great time. Will try to follow along on Instagram. Thanks for visiting 1camera1mom!
