Last Sunday I took Cameron and Kyle into Sydney for the day. It was meant to be the day before we left Wollongong but that was a week ago and we are still here…..I don’t really want to go into that at the moment cause we are still here and have no idea how we are going to make it to David’s parents place in time for Xmas! Yeah fingers are crossed that by the time you are reading this we have left other wise we are going to have to grow wings on our Motorhome so that we can fly there!
Sunday Family Fun Day
Down here in Wollongong New South Wales they have a Sunday Family Fun Day Pass for the Train. Where you can buy a ticket for $2.50 and that gives you train rides, Ferry Rides, Bus Rides and Light Rail all day – unlimited.
Yes Kyle has a Xmas Tree Hat ~
And yes he rocks it! He wore it all over Sydney that Day 🙂
We have been to Sydney during the week day but if I can I prefer to ride on the Sunday, that way we can visit many different places without breaking the bank!
First Stopped At ::
On the Sunday I went alone with the two boys, letting them decide what they wanted to do and where they wanted to go. First up we headed to Central, jumped off and caught the light Rail Tram down to Darling Harbour, went for lunch and then headed to the National Maritime Museum – we had yearly passes which was so worth it because there is so much to see and do. Highly recommend the yearly pass for families, especially for homeschooling families so that you can return as much as you like to see the displays.
LOVE KYLE’S FACE!!
The War At Sea Display was new, wished I could have spent time reading about the information but the day was directed by two little ones and they were keen to keep going!
Then from there we walked over the Darling Harbour Bridge, got to stand there and watch it being opened up even though a boat was not coming through at the time, they were only testing out the alarms, the gates and the bridge movements to make sure it was working.
From the Bridge we then walked down to see the Lego Tree in Martin Place….oh gosh if you are close enough to see it in Sydney then I highly recommend the trip. Its one massive Tree that I can’t imagine how long it took to make? The detail, oh the detail in that tree – amazing.
Incredible Detail ~
Gosh I couldn’t imagine how many hours it took to make this tree,
and how many people?
Actually I think that I was way more interested in the tree then either Cameron or Kyle was! But then again they were distracted by the very talented drummer boy.
Yes he played the Drums with Empty Paint Tins, and he was incredible. The tunes he could blast from those sticks and by moving the paint drums was something out of this world, I haven’t seen anything like it ever!
See What I Mean?
Have you ever seen a Lego Tree like this one? I was so captured by it…imagine how many hours went into the making of this tree? Imagine the fun the person had who designed it?
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas New Life on the Road Family And Friends.
We are having Christmas with Family – not giving many gifts this year because I haven’t had time to do any shopping and because our oldest son is away on deployment, and we also wanted to make Xmas all about “Spending Quality Time Together” instead of wasting money on useless stuff that we don’t need/don’t have room for/don’t really want !!
You can’t buy me anything that I want this year, cause all I want for Xmas is time with my boys, and to make the most of the day creating memories with my sweet family.
How Are You Spending Xmas This Year?
Cheers
Lisa
