Today we were heading out the door to the Homeschooling Meet up at a beach. And I forgot to take the Right Exit, ending up at Mt Keira Lookout instead!
So taking the Wrong Exit Ending Up at Mt Keira Lookout means I was able to get out of the car and take in the View as well as take lots of pics!!
Love the view Looking down over Wollongong!
There was many more Love Locks last time we stopped in at Mt Keira Lookout 🙂
Its such a shame that the Cafe is now Closed – I remember going there when I was younger, when I used to live in New South Wales {way before being married and having kids!!}. I have heard that the Cafe can’t get anyone that is interested in running it, which seems weird because the Lookout is always so busy, and I can imagine the Cafe would do a great trade!
After getting back on the Road I did a u-turn at Bulli Lookout and headed down the Bulli Pass to the Homeschooling Beach Meet up….arriving very late but I got there in the end so that is the main thing!
Today I am linking up with Budget Travelers Sandbox for Travel Photo Thursday!
Have You Been To Mt Keira Lookout?
I so would love to go back one time and do the bush walk!
Cheers
Lisa

What a wonderful view from the Lookout. Too bad you made the wrong turn, but perhaps it was kismet.

Sometimes wrong turns are a good thing! The view from the lookout looks amazing!

Thanks – it all worked out well. Even though we were late to Homeschooling meet up it still was worth the view 🙂
Nice finding your blog. What a wonderful life on the road you have.

Thanks Dana, the water was blue that day 🙂
I love happy accidents. Just look what you’ve discovered!
Seems strange that they can’t get anyone to run the cafe when it sounds like it’s such a busy place.

It is weird that no-one will help run the Cafe and keep it open! And yeah I loved the taking the wrong exit by accident 🙂
There is so much around the Wollongong area that I have not seen. I have been to Wollongong itself a few times but haven’t really explored the area too much. I think I should rectify this!

It is a great place to explore, if you ever do get down this way let me know and we can meet up for a coffee 🙂
So – an icecream shop at the look-out maybe. You would have to be versatile in winter of course. Maybe home-made pies 🙂
Nice wrong turn Lisa.

Sure was good Jan, oh yes I so can see that would be an ideal place for Ice-Cream/Pancakes and for home made soups/pies in winter!
We have only been to NSW once – and I don’t think we got to Mr Keira – next time maybe! Sometimes wrong turns do take us to places we might not never have gone to, and which are immensely interesting! Strange that no-one wants to run the cafe if the area is so busy – there’s a new career for you!
Have a wonderful weekend ahead, and thanks for stopping by my blog todya.
You will love the Lookout. And yep its weird that the Cafe stands empty, and such a shame because its part of the history of the area.
Wow! What an amazing view. No wonder you want to be on the road all the time when you can see scenery like this!
YEP! I so want to stay travelling on the road, and end up taking lots more wrong exits 🙂
What a lucky wrong turn you took. I love the view from the top.

It was such a great wrong turn, and I loved getting out and looking from Mt Keira to all of Wollongong 🙂
Those views from the top are beautiful! Sometimes taking a wrong turn or getting lost has some pleasant surprises. It amazes me to find lovelocks in the most unusual places these days. I hope they find someone to open the cafe soon…such a shame to be closed.

It is so good to see Love Locks when we least expect it 🙂
And yeah the Closed Cafe sure is a shame…not sure why no one wants to run it?
Ah, Mt Keira! Just down the road 🙂 love that view from the escarpment looking out over the beautiful blue. A gorgeous part of the world.

The view from the lookout is gorgeous. That’s my kind of wrong exit. Too bad, nobody wants to run the cafe.
