Thought I would end this crazy weekend in a blog post that shares Our Week In Brief. If I was honest I am struggling with what to write. You see yesterday I was really slack – I took time off. Not that its bad to relax and all that, but I am now trying to get back into the mood and I finding that I can’t think of anything to write!
Our Week Goes By
Monday:-
Last Monday we had our first Featured Blogger and it was so good to read about Jess and Jim with their two children backpacking experience. They travelled for a year, visiting 10 countries and had 18 plane trips! Love that another family is able to travel with their children and experience life.

Tuesday:-
On Tuesday we shared our wonderful trip to Topshots Maroochydore. We visited Topshots on Sunday, and were able to gather our photos and share our amazing time at their fun park. If you live near Maroochydore, or you are coming up that way then you so need to take your family there. Even if it’s for the Mini Golf, or the rides, or both – you will all find something to do!

Wednesday:-
On Wednesday we decided to join in on the fun with Wordless Wednesday – I love the idea of not having to write a blog post, and share photos. It sure gets my mind thinking and I have to dig through photos to see which ones we can use without writing too much information. If you have a blog site, and you would like to link up with My Little Drummer Boys Wordless Wednesday then pop on over and join in on the fun.
Thursday:-
On Thursday we ran out of Internet – I had it but it was slower than dial-up. Actually it took over 30 minutes to open up anything! So it was off to the Library we went to try to get some work done. I was so proud of my boys – Nicholas, Cameron and Kyle played quietly and joined in the art and craft while I was able to blog, check emails and read other blogs.
While I was at the library I wrote about my first Raw Food Cafe experience. I am blown away by how many of you are interested in the Raw Food – the Burrito and the yummy Cake was all raw!

Friday:-
On Friday I found out that I am off to Melbourne at the end of the Month. I am super excited as I am going down to hear about World Vision and find out what little difference New Life on the Road can make for their amazing company. Its something that I am very passionate about, and something that is really important to our family. As soon as I have more information and have attended the day I will be sharing more here!
What Would You Do if today Was Your Last Day?
Sharing about World Vision and why its so important!
Saturday:-
Yesterday (being Saturday and still not having any internet) I took a day off from Facebook, Twitter and our Blog. The very first time I have done that in such a long time – gosh I can’t remember the last time I did not get online for at least an hour. It was bliss and I have decided that I am going to be doing more of that….rest and relaxation here I come!
The Blogs That I have Been Reading:-
In the last week I have been trying to keep up with my regular blog post reading, but with limited internet connection it has not been easy!
Another travelling family got in touch with us, so we have been checking out there site. They are doing the same as what we are doing – selling off everything they own to travel. The only difference is that they are in a Boat while we are in a Motorhome!
We have been reading all about The Smith Family @Our Sea Adventure – go check them out….there family and boat is amazing!
Another favorite blog is Our Sonny Life. This blog is from one families journey of discovery that life is really important and is for living every moment you have. They have three gorgeous sons – their little one was born in their drive way as they didn’t make to the hospital in time.
They named him Trek Atlas and set about making their dreams of travelling to becoming a reality. Only recently did they find out that Trek was not well. He has now made their life all about creating memories. Please connect with Chelsea Ingram family and send your support/love their way. They are so very strong, and such a beautiful family.
Our Newsletter:-
Our Monthly Newsletter went out at the beginning of March. Last Month it was not able to be sent out because of again lack of Internet Connection. Fingers are crossed that it last longer this month!
With our newsletter I often wonder what you would like to read about! And I struggle to put it together. So for next month I am going to be doing a short survey to make sure that we share what you would like to read. As soon as the survey is ready I will post it here and on Facebook. It will be very short, but should help with making sure we are providing information that you want to know about!
Next Week in Brief
The week ahead is not going to be very busy – at least I hope so! I would like to catch up with our Homeschooling Work and also see if we can fit a trip into the beach or maybe to Noosa National Park. We would like to do something that we haven’t done so far, and explore a new area.
Well for a blog post that I had trouble writing about….I have covered over 900 words!!! Not bad 🙂
Oh I almost forgot!
Sunday:-
Today we finally visited our local hospital. Nicholas stood on a rock or something sharp about three days ago. He has been limping on his foot ever since. At first we thought it was a splinter but soon it become red, swollen and he was in so much pain. I kept telling him that he was lucky he did not have to go through child-birth!
Well we went to the hospital, and within minutes we were seen by a nice Doctor. He felt around the sore foot and couldn’t feel anything, nor could he see how anything could be in there as there was no entry point. He now has crutches, his foot was cleaned off and we were sent home with recommendations that he have a CT scan to see if there was anything that was not meant to be there.
We are going to wait and see how he goes in the next 24 hours to what type of treatment as the Doctor doesn’t think he has anything in their to poke around and get out! He did say that it would be tender for a few more days, and that the swelling/redness should start to disappear soon.
So that was our exciting end of the day. To not a very exciting week.
What Was Your Week Like?
Cheers
Lisa
Lisa, I am shocked to think you would ever be stuck for words. 900 words isn’t bad for struggling! I think we should all have Sunday off every week.
Sounds like music to my ears!
