I was teased a few weeks ago. I was able to have three days with a Canon EOS 10D Camera. It was the love of my life, and I was over the moon that I could take so many good quality photos. It was so easy to use, was so easy to carry around, and took photos so fast. The quality of the images was what won me over!
New Love of My Life is Now Samsung
I wish that I could say that my new camera was a Canon but at the moment that is a bit out of the question! As we drove towards Dreamworld White Water World Goldcoast last Saturday, we drove past an area where there where a few shops in a row that had Cameras for Sale.
My Dream Camera
Canon EOS 10D
My old Camera….its less than a year old ~
someone dropped it onto the bus floor and its cracked up inside!
We had our old Camera with us, but we knew that it wasn’t able to take good quality photos. Nor could I see what the photo was going to look like!
Even though we were later than what we would have liked, we still had to stop. The first shop didn’t have any thing that was suitable. The next shop had lots of specials.
Wow Sight n Sound ~
Where we got our new love!
I started to drool over the Cameras that were locked away – the Canons SLR Cameras. I was so in love – but we didn’t have time to muck around. And the manager of the store was not prepared to come over and discuss a deal 🙁
This one of those times where the staff of the store did not get what a blogger can do for their business! Maybe I should write an ebook and send it out to big stores….that way they get what bloggers will do for exchange of services/products/deals!!
We asked the friendly helpful staff which Camera would take good quality photos, and was in a price range that was not going to break the bank! We also had to try to find a Camera that was almost like the one we had so that we could slip our fully charged battery over!
Didnt think about the Memory card but luckily Zachery had his iPod with us, so I could use his micro card!
I also got really lucky – the camera came in Pink…and there was one left!
My New Love of my Life 🙂
After discussing a FANTASTIC price, paying for the purchase and running out the door to the car..it was time to practice taking photos along the way. We wanted to make sure that the images were going to be able to hold their colour so that the pictures look as good as when we take them.

Trying out our new camera!

We are happy with our choice! The images look good – what do you think?
Samsung Is The Name of My New Love
Here are the details of our new camera:-
Samsung Zoom Lens 4.7 -23.5mm 1:3/3-5.9 26mm 5x (have no idea what that all means…it was on the camera!)
Effective Pixels – approximately 14.2 Mega Pixels
Wide Angel 26mm
Smart Auto 2.0 (Still and Movie)
Lens – Focal Length – Samsung Lens f = 4.7 mm-23.5mm (35mm film equivalent:26mm-130mm)
Shutter Speed – Smart Auto: 1/8-1/2000 sec
Bonus – Front LCD For easy self shot…..there is a front smaller screen on the front of the Camera. Never seen one like it – you can turn the easy self shot by pressing a smaller button on the Camera (at the top) and then you can select self shot. That way you take your own photo and see what you are doing!
Dreaming of one day (soon!) of owning a Canon SLR Digital Cameras…the one where you can adjust the zoom! Or have it on auto 🙂
What Is The Name Of your New (or old!) Love?
Cheers

I have a Canon, but it’s just a 1000D. Even so, it takes amazing photos for an amateur like me. Have fun with your new camera. I have lost and trashed far too many compact cameras in my time. I’m looking after the DSLR a little more carefully 😉

Hi Laney,
We have too…trashed too many compact cameras! We either drop them, or they stop working. I would love a DSLR….that is what we are saving up for 🙂
There is so many different cameras to chose from – sure will have fun when I do go looking!
Have fun with your canon – is it easy to use?
Cheers
