Today was the icing on the cake. It was the smell that got to us all – we still can’t believe how strong that smell is. We have looked everywhere for it….all the normal hiding holes and still can’t find it. Maybe its a mouse that is laying somewhere, maybe it’s not even in the Motorhome but under it? Maybe because of the summer heat its under the Motorhome but smells like its inside?
I am not sure but I would love to know so that I can bury it and say goodbye. At least under my lounges are clean – gosh I never realised how dusty it was under there! I pulled them apart and swept it all out – no signs of Mice there.
What Went Down Yesterday
Yesterday I had another appointment in Mackay for another treatment…..I was on the way home back when David called. It was after 11.00am.
NOT a Happy Camper. He was meant to be sleeping as he had done a 12 hour night-shift and had to be back at work again today. He was after more parts for our water filter from Bunnings, yet was still up because he was working on trying to get our hot water system back to life. I was cranky because I worry about him driving/working without a lot of sleep.
Surely he would be sleeping by the time I got home?
Yeah right. Big Pig headed stubborn man that he is. We were happy to use the Caravan Park Showers until we could get a new hot water system in place. But no he had to pull an all day stint on getting the system working – only sleeping for one hour.
Yeah I was not very happy at all. What a crazy week….No one in there right mind can work for 12 hours on one hour sleep. So I guess he is not in the right mind – because he did that very thing.
Then today he gets home and starts looking for the really bad smell. It was after 9.00 am and he was still awake. Well I let it rip – I even slotted in a few choice words – he had to get some sleep – he needed to get some sleep – he must sleep to work safely.
And he did – he got at least six hours sleep. Guess there is a silver lining in every situation!
That is what he should be doing every day – yet he normally gets about 4-5 hours sleep! Me – I need at least 8 hours sleep to feel half normal – are you the same?
Now I am detoxing. In a big way. So maybe that is why I let it rip so much this morning…..I am feeling the effects of my treatment and its really working. Felt so sick yesterday – like going to throw up sick. And today I felt like I was walking around with my head in a cloud.
Dentist Appointments The Other Day
The day before yesterday (I think it was a Tuesday) both David and I had dentists appointments. David’s teeth are really bad. So bad that they will soon all be gone – he has many missing and many fillings in what he has left. Yet I havent got any fillings and have only my wisdom teeth taken out….that was many years ago!
I was in for a huge shock. The dentist couldn’t/wouldn’t work on me because I am such a sook – and have a really strong gag reflex. I had 30 minutes waiting in the waiting room and had worked myself up into such a state ~ so much so that nothing he said/did was going to help calm me down.
He took x-rays and I need six fillings. I thought I only needed one. And I need them cleaned.
David got his cleaned and x-rays. He then was given a quote of what he needs done! Mind you his would only keep them going for a little while – they wouldn’t keep them going forever.
Kyle got to play games while he waited for David and I at the Dentist!
Most expensive experience ever 🙂
Because of what I need done, and how much work is needing to be done, the dentists wants to take put me asleep and have it all done at the Mater Hospital. Now that scared me more than how much it was going to cost….the last time I went under was when I had to have my tonsils out. OH boy was that bloody painful afterwards – I still have a sore neck from trying to swallow and sore shoulders from tensing up with the pain of that operation. It took about a week for me to get over that !
We no longer go to Doctors nor go anywhere near hospitals as we heal ourself with natural remedies!
Do. Not. Want. To. Go. Into. Hospital.
We are now looking at all of our options. Do we combine our love of travelling and go to Thailand so that David can get all of his work done in one go? Or do we find another Dentists for a second opinion – or do I dream it all to go away 🙂
Not sure but I am going deep within to ask what feels right for us. Will have the answer soon ~ and will know what is suitable for our situation. Until then I am cleaning my teeth with a small baby brush….as per dentist instructions. Only so that it can reach into the back of my mouth.
And David is doing a lot of research – he even purchased an ebook to see if that would give us the answers we are looking for!
Renovations Update ::
Last weekend David took panels off the side of the driver’s side (outside) and has found that our Gas Storage Box is rusted and needs the frame-work replaced. The three water tanks are no good for travelling’/holding water so needs to build a new one! And the panels above the ones that he is replacing also needs replacing. Basically you could say that the outside will all be new panels. More than what he expected – story of our life!
All the Bottom Panels need replacing ~
and he has discovered that all the panels above also need replacing.
There is too much rust/bogg!
Mind you he still has the roof to paint, a new roof rack to make, sides to paint, finish off the bumper bar, build a new front bumper bar, put on the new side mirrors, put in the new seat belts….oh the list goes on and on and on! Be very happy when he is happy with the work he has completed. Did I ever tell you that he will only do his own work (doesnt like to pay anyone when he knows he can get it done) and that he is a perfectionist? Yep I am only allowed to help with jobs that he can supervise over.
So all in all we have had a full on week. Looking forward to the weekend. Now if only the Rain will hold off 🙂
How Was Your Week?
Do You Have A Hubby That Pushes Himself To Complete JOBS?
Or is it my crazy hubby that can live with such little sleep!
Cheers
