Oh Me, Oh My We have 23 days to go, to be packed up and out of our house and on the road. David has been so very busy with the Motorhome Repairs that he hasn’t had time to help pack up the house!
We are going crazy with Getting Our Bedford Comair Ready for the road.
That’s about three weeks left to have a house with five boys packed, stored, sold off, and sorted. When I say out loud “23 Days to go” David freaks out so I am not saying it out loud in our house, but telling the world how we are Getting Our Bedford Comair Ready !!!
Our House Packed In 23 Days
So as of last night we have 23 Days left to pack up our house – a house with five boys and one husband who all like to collect “things” in case they will come in handy one day!!!
We have had a request to let you know what we are taking with us, and what we are doing with our furniture so I have put together a quick video last night explaining what is happening to all of our household items so here goes………..
Packing Up
Getting Ready To Downsize Big Time
What with working night shifts (I have just come off doing nine in a row!!) running kids around with school holiday fun and trying to keep on top of my blogs plus pack a house it’s sure going to be a huge challenge to move our life on the road. Last night was 23 days to go.
Today it’s 22 days to go!! Its a huge task Getting Packed up and moved into our Motorhome …I am not even thinking about how to pack all Davids shed tools/items up – actually maybe all of the boys can get onto that task 🙂
The cleaning is going to get to me – as I am normally a huge cleaning freak (not had time to be lately) and I know that the house has to pass inspection when we leave (as we are renting) – there will be days were I will be up very late trying to get each room cleaned.
Our Lifestyle Challenge
I was only saying to David this morning that this dream of ours to travel around Australia has been in the making for over a year, and to finally have a date set where the dream will become a reality is so amazing. It’s actually really good that the house we are renting is now for sale and our lease expires on the 25th of January. I think if we did not have a set date then we would still be here for another year Getting Our Bedford Comair Ready.
Still So Much To Do !!
There is still so much to do in the bus but it will get done. David is really handy with building and designing furniture that the bus will look really good when completed.
Our first stop on the road will be family in Bundy as its only 5 hours from the Sunshine Coast, and we are able to stay there to finish off the little things that we are not able to here.
Then we will be deciding where to head off to for our very first stop on the road. That is where we get to say our dream of traveling with our boys will become a reality.
It’s not good enough to have a dream, its taking action on the dream that turns it into reality – that is living!! So if we are able to head off with five boys in our Bedford Comair Motorhome…. and live our dream
What Is Stopping You?
Cheers

New Life on the Road

Hi guys, pity you don’t live in Adelaide, I would have liked some of those things, specially the outdoor setting!
Have fun getting organised, and I hope to see you on the road one day!

Hi Lisa,
So you take off the day before Australia day – to see Australia. That’s a great symbolic moment. Look forward to seeing the fancy designer furniture that David makes.

Lisa, Lisa, Lisa,
Thank you so much for the great video and comments about how you are sorting and sifting through household furniture and items. The process of deciding what to sell and what to store may be a bit challenging ~ but you seem to be handling it simply and beautifully. Good for you. You go girl! My husband and I also plan to tour the country (U.S., in our case) in a motor home, but we will not be departing for at least another year. I am so happy that you have decided to blog about this process and venture. Love the updates,

Hey Lisa!
Even though packing, selling and storing can be a daunting task – I think it’s also really exciting as you will have a fresh new energy around you!
