Yesterday I went for a Drive….I planned to drive to Kangaroo Valley, to explore the area and visit places I went to as a young child. What I didn’t realise was that a Road was calling out to me. Until I got there.
I have had this feeling before, when we were driving down in Nowra and ended up at Greenwell Point, where we got to watch a Fishing Boat unload its catch.
Kangaroo Valley ::
Both David and I have been there many times as children, seen as how we both grew up in New South Wales and I remember going to the Toy Store down there as a young teenager.
So I knew that was one place that was a Must See as well as the Fudge Store {which is still there!!}
Yet I came to this Turn Off ::
I have never seen this turn off before {at least I don’t remember it?} yet I was drawn to it. Listening to my inner voice telling me to take it I did. So very glad that I took that road…..
Where we ate our Lunch ~
Quickly because it was too cold!
And learnt about the Fish Lift
He LOVES collecting Sticks
where ever we go 🙂
We hope to return to Kangaroo Valley Tallowa Dam another time….and maybe we can see the Hopper in action!
Sure was  a great example of how we learn through exploring – and how Our Homeschooling Journey is teaching our boys!
Thanks for following our Journey.
Have You Been To Kangaroo Valley?
If So What Do You Like About It?
Cheers

New Life on the Road
Great learning about the fish lift. Kyle has really grown up!
The Fish Life was so very good – and yeah Kyle is getting really tall 🙂
That fish lift is amazing! I’ve never heard of anything like that before. I learned something new today! And I agree that river looks like it would be wonderful to canoe down, Lisa 🙂
It was so good – we loved learning about how the fish can travel upstream and down stream 🙂
Would love to get back there to canoe down that river!!
