While we were camping at Meroo National Park Free Camping Spot we were able to walk along the beach nearly every day – we had the beach to ourselves {almost!}. It was incredible – it was cold but when the sun was out we enjoyed every moment of the Lake Tabourie Beach New South Wales. The ocean, the sand, the waves, the salt, the sun – its pure heaven on earth 🙂
Lake Tabourie Beach ::
Gorgeous rocks on the beach that we climbed over to get from one side of the beach to the other side!
SO hard to believe this was taken in Winter time! It was gorgeous this day, and we walked for ages. The next day was cold and so windy, we all walked but it was freezing.
Kyle collected shells as we walked, not sure what happened to them – maybe we left them at our camping spot after our week there?
We walked out to the Crampton Island to find a GEOcache, and then had to walk back off quickly before the tide came in. Its a great island that David used to Fish on when he was a young kid/man with his own family and returned when he had his first car. So it was especially special to share the island with his boys!
The Next Day At Lake Tabourie Beach ::
The next day a big storm was coming in, and it was so very cold. We still decided to walk along the beach – and then in the bush on the way back to camp. But gee did we freeze! We had beanies, jumpers and walked fast to keep warm.
David has the longest legs, and walks so very fast. It looks like his boys take after their dad – I was left way behind and had to catch up the whole time on the walk!
Lake Tabourie Beach New South Wales was our favorite place to free camp, walk along the beach and fish at the Lake Tabourie. Its beautiful, warmer in summer time but then again its busier in summer time! We sure loved our week there – would love to return one day, not sure how now that we have “Beauty” in our family but we will work it out!
Which brings me to the next question – how do families travel to free camping spots in Australia with dogs when most of the free camping spots are in National Parks!
Have You Been To Lake Tabourie Beach?
We loved our time there! Taking lots of pictures, walking along the beach, making memories for our boys, leaving nothing behind in the camping spot/beach!
Cheers
Lisa
