If you ever get to stay at Lake Redbrook Holiday Retreat make sure you take the time to walk up to The Settlers Hut! It’s not far from the camping area and the walk is gorgeous.
The surprise at the Hut will be so funny, especially if you have kids – but I am not spoiling the surprise – you will have to work out what it is all by yourself. All I can say is take the time to look at everything, take the time to look fully around.
How lucky are we – to have electricity, to have machines do all of the hard work. No wonder why people were super fit back then – so much to do and not able to sit down until all the work was done.
Now we have washing machines, we have gas or electric stove tops, we have running water, and everything that makes our lives so much easier and we so take for granted.
Kyle loved walking among every tool – he knew what each one was used for because he has done so much research on living off grid, living off the land and survivor videos on Youtube!
We can now cross The Settlers Hut from Lake Redbrook Holiday Retreat off our Bucket List. But there is so much more on our list – so many amazing times ahead, super excited and can’t wait.
Until then – remember if you stop in Childers and you want to go fishing, or even for a canoe ride there is a day pass to Lake Redbrook or even book a night or two for you and your family – you will love all there is on offer to explore.
HAVE YOU EVER STEPPED BACK IN TIME?
Do You Have A Bucket List?
Cheers
Lisa
