Kyle had another Karate Competition on, this time it was down in Childers. And seen how David wasn’t working on the Monday we decided to stay down there for it instead of driving back and forwards.
So glad we did because about two years ago, on our GeoCaching in Bundaberg adventures we had stumbled upon Lake Redbrook Holiday Retreat, and I remember saying “Oh one day we are so going to stay here”.
And now we have! Its crossed off our Bucket List. Mind you we had so much fun that we would love to go back as soon as we can.
Have You Stayed At Lake Redbrook Holiday Retreat? Did you get to see the Deers and the Setters Hut?
Oh and they have so much amazing things to do for kids! Fishing, Canoe Riding, exploring the Man Made Lake on both sides. Where they have Cows, Miniture Horses, Chickens, Pigs, and Peacocks.
They are a “Catch and Release” type of fishing, which Kyle didn’t mind as he did catch two small fish and let them go straight away.
The view – Its magical, over looking the Lake. Watching a storm come in on the Saturday night and then freezing on the Sunday night – my fault, I forgot how cold it can be in a Camper Trailer!
And they have a fire pit that we could sit around, catching up with the other campers – there is something magical about a fire pit.
We have started to recommend Lake Redbrook Holiday Retreat to others already as we loved our short stay there {and no we are not being sponsored or being paid to say anything!}
How tall has Kyle gotten!!! He is going to be huge when he stops growing, when will that be?
We went for a walk to see the Deer Sancturary on one side of the Lake, and then sat back to watch a storm coming in, but it only rained briefly that night.
I will have another blog post about the Settlers Hut as soon as I can- as there is something really cool that we want to share with New Life on the Road readers!
We so would stay at Lake Redbrook Holiday Resort again as we all enjoyed our time there. We didn’t get time for a canoe ride so that will be on our must do list next time.
Have You Ever Seen A Place And Wanted To Return?
And next time I will have to take my massage table with us – escpecially to the Karate Competition coming up in August as I was giving massages to friends/those in need while they were sitting on chairs which wasn’t the best for comfort.
Do You Have Lake Redbrook Holiday Resort On Your Bucket List?
Check back here soon as we will share more about the Settlers Hut.
Thanking you for taking the time to share our adventures.
