I am looking through so many pictures that I haven’t thought to share on here! So many amzing places we have been to but haven’t written about. Here is a few pics from Rockhampton At Night Time. Funny enough I was born in Rockhampton but never ever grew up there! I lived there until I was about 6 months of age but don’t remember any of it because I was a baby.
Lately we have been to Rocky a few times – one weekend David and I escaped for a conference and stayed at the best hotel in Rockhampton, and recently Kyle went there for a karate competition.
I actually love Rocky – its very hot there but there is something about the country town that I really do like. Maybe its character of all of the Bulls – there are Bull statues all throughtout the town.
Or maybe its because its so laid back – and also its very close to the Singing Ship which we all love to visit.
I guess because we have been there a few times and explored as much as we can, that I have enjoyed a brief time in Rocky. I wonder if the people of the town love it?
There is a Main Street facing the water that has the most amazing old historical buildings that are all lit up at night time, and the lights change colours at random times. Its super gorgeous, and I just love old buidlings! Ancient History was my favorite subject in Year 11 and Year 12 of Highschool.
This Hotel is on the Fitzroy River in Rockhampton. Where one time we came up many years ago, when our oldest son was in the first steps of getting into the navy, to see the Navy helping the Army with taking supplies to them on their smaller boats. It was super cool to speak with the Navy guys and hear how they work alongside the Army.
Have You Seen Rockhampton At Night Time?
Cheers
